College Preparation

All of our learning exercises provided by coaches focus on building the foundational skills crucial for ongoing academic success and prepares the learner to excel in higher levels of education. Not all learners, however, may desire, or need, to go to college to accomplish their larger life goals. For those who do find their long-term academic goals include higher education, Academic Coaching Solutions, LLC is here to help you through the process! Our coaches help learners navigate the college entry process, from identifying and applying to universities that have programs in the learner's desired field of study, to finding and applying for scholarships/financial aid to empower each learner to fully engage with the opportunities available to them and reach their highest academic goals!

Application Process

Coaches will assist learners in: Identifying universities with programs in the learner's desired field of study, identifying admission requirements, assist in developing a plan to complete the requirements, review and provide constructive feedback on application essays, and more!

ACT/SAT

Many universities still require either ACT or SAT test scores with an application. Coaches work with learners to establish an effective strategy for planning, preparing, and studying for the exams. Coaches utilize practice exams to assist the learner in identifying areas of improvement and develop an effective study plan focused on improving their scoring in the identified challenge areas.

GRE

Otherwise known as the Graduate Record Examination, the GRE is often required for entry into graduate level programs (Masters, PhD, etc). Similar to ACT/SAT prep, coaches work with learners to develop a healthy and consistent study plan, provide and review practice exams with the learner in order to improve their scoring in the identified challenge areas and increase their likelihood of attaining the score they need for admissions.

Scholarships/Financial Aid

While Academic Coaching Solutions, LLC cannot guarantee a learner will receive scholarships or financial aid, coaches work with learners to identify their interested field of study and review available scholarships early on. This allows the coach and learner the opportunity to work together toward fulfilling scholarship requirements before the time comes to apply for college programs, thereby increasing the likelihood of receiving the funds they need for their academic pursuits.

Work/Career Prep

A very important part of higher education is paying for it, and sometimes scholarships/financial aid are not available or do not cover the entire cost of higher education. There is also no better way to get into and advance in your field of study than with early work experience, so coaches work with learner's to identify work opportunities that can fund and further their educational pursuits. From finding work opportunities and learning how to effectively balance a school-work-life balance, to practicing interview skills through mock interviews, we are here to help set every learner up for success!
